This interesting woman told me the other day that more baby boys are born during war. When I realized what she said, everyone I know is having a boy. I’m due with a boy in August. So what does eveything think this? Does anyone have any scientific evidence? Let me know, thanks.

there have always more boys born than girls unfortantly…
I get what you’re asking, I think its just coincidence… (I just had a girl)
well the husbands go away to war, and there is a chance for them dying so they want to make sure to have a child just in case.
Depends on if you believe in GOD.
He knows that it is war time and that we have fallen soldiers, mainly men.
HE is replenishing the world.
Some believe this to be an old wives tale… but history repeats itself.
What does sperm have to do with war time? Nothing. It really is just a coincidence that there seem to be more baby boys being born now.
Sperm decide the gender. Not wars, not positions, not timing, etc.
well in my husband is at war right now and Im having baby because my husband might die and I want to try and have at least il have something to remind me of him
Actually this study would tend to disagree with you. The better nourished mom is the more chance she will have a boy:http://www.livescience.com/health/080423…
Some studies do support that theory though:http://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/con…http://education.guardian.co.uk/higher/r…
My uncle said that too when he found out I was pregnant last year with another son.
His view on it is = it is the worlds way of making up for all the men we are losing in the war – to balance the world =
Kinda weird when you think about it…..
Because people believe if a boy is born and the dad dies or is still at war when the boy grows up, the grown up boy can take over as the man of the house. And, during the war-times, only boys were sent off as soldiers, never women. Women were kept back to continue and take over the jobs of men. The only thing women did on the battle field was work in an infirmary and dress wounds. I guess if people found out they were having a girl, they would get an abortion…Kind of sexist in those days.
