Great Ideas for Baby Bedding

31 Jul 2009 / 0 Comments / in Other Advice and News/by Baby Talk

One of the many fun things that there are to do when you have a new baby is to shop for it. Shopping for your baby’s bedding can be loads of fun if you follow a few simple steps. Remember that cribs come in various sizes, so you will want to make sure that your bedding matches the size of your baby’s mattress. Its hard to pick out a color and it can be even harder if you are shopping before the baby is born and you aren’t sure of the sex.

Ultra sounds have been known to be wrong before, so unless you have double checked don’t bet the whole farm on one specific color. One option is gender neutral colors that go with any baby’s crib. Another thing to remember is to use a plastic mattress liner if the cribs mattress isn’t already lined in plastic. Give some careful thought to hanging toys and mobiles that your little one can use to watch.

Studies have shown that baby’s like to have things to entertain themselves with while they are in their crib even when they are as young as a few months old. You might also think of including some type of music device for your child that he or she can listen to while they fall asleep. When you are shopping for your baby’s bedding make sure that you select out sturdy washable natural fabrics.

You will want to use a few thinner blankets instead of one thick one that your little one may get too hot with when they are in their crib. When you use thinner blankets you can add them as they are needed. Stuffed animals shouldn’t be put in a crib with a very young baby, because many of them may be unsafe. If you want to include a stuffed animal you my consider tying it on the outside of the crib looking in.

The house I just moved too already had a super cute paint theme in the room that’s going to be my daughters, here’s our crib and a pic of the walls – http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww54/…
Which of these three bed sets if any do you think would look good? No rude comments either.
