On the Farm Baby Bedding By Brandee Danielle

Brandee Danielle released On the Farm Baby bedding in 2005. It is a high quality, great priced, and is gender neutral.  At a price point of $250-300 you get a four piece baby bedding set that is made of premium grade fabric. This is not something that you would usually find in a baby bedding at this price.

The four piece crib bedding set contains a baby quilt, crib bumper, crib skirt, and a fitted crib sheet. There are also additional accessories for this baby bedding set that you can purchase. The only accessory you won’t find for the On the Farm baby bedding is a wall border, but with all the farm themed baby beddings out there you can definitely find one that would match.

Other than the great price and the exceptional fabric the thing that really sets this baby bedding set apart from others is the beautiful embroidered farm scenes with farm animals, corn, flowers and fences.

If you are looking for a farm baby bedding you should definitely give serious thought to this wonderful baby bedding set.

10 Things to Know About Nursing

Nursing or breast feeding is the best nutrition you can give your baby.   The first week of nursing can be stressful and painful but push through it, it’s so worth it.  Give it a try.

  1. Breast Milk Is Oh So Healthy:Breast milk contains antibodies that can’t be engineered.  Breastfed babies get fewer colds and sinus and ear infections says Jim Sears, MD, coauthor of “The Baby Book”  They also have less diarrhea and a decreased chance of having allergies.
  2. Mom, You Might End Up Healther Too:  Over the long term, breastfeeding helps to decrease breast and ovarian cancer.  In the short term, it helps you bond with your baby.  It helps you to focus on your nutrition and in some cases helps you lose your pregnancy weight.  Unlike, me I have to stopped nursing in order to lose my weight.  But that’s Ok.
  3. Nursing Is Tough In The Beginning:Every child is different and you need to take your time in helping baby to learn to latch.  There is always help if you need some guidance.  You will experience tenderness and even cracking of the breast and it can become extremely painful. But the pain will go away once baby learns to suck correctly and a little help from Lansinoh.  Lansinoh is a breast cream that helps with healing and is perfectly safe for baby.  Don’t ignore shooting pain; a know int he breast accompanied by soreness and redness could be a plugged milk duct, which can lead to mastitis, a nasty infection which can be treated.  Always consult with your doctor or midwife if you have any questions.
  4. Breastfeeding Saves Money
  5. You’re The Food Supply, So Mother Yourself: Keep taking your prenatal vitamins, get ample calcium and drink at least 64 ounces of water a day while nursing.  I also have a glass of water by my computer, night stand and when I nurse.  It reminds me to drink.  You will also need an extra 300-500 calories a day. While nursing remember to stay relaxed.  Stress can affect your letdown (the start of milk flow).  Take a warm shower, sink into a chair, and remember to breathe as you help your squirmy baby to relax and latch on.  Babies do know when you are stressed.
  6. Breastfeeding Can Be Blissfully Convenient:No frantic runs to the store.  No stumbling around at an ungodly hour to whip up a bottle.  No cleanup.  I really need my sleep so I lay on my side and nurse during the night.  Once baby is done, I put her back in her cradle.  Breast milk is instantly available and delivered at the perfect temperature. Plus once less thing in the diaper bag.  It’s great for traveling, you will never be worried about running out of food.
  7. Plenty of Women Pump Milk, and For All Kinds of Reason:First, some women pump either to encourage their milk supply or to relieve engorgement.  I use the pump when I’m transition from nursing to a bottle.  I typically ween my babies around 7 months. Second, there are the occasional pumpers.  Fill a bottle, and Dad can do that midnight feed, or you can a baby-free date.  For this, you may need single manual pump. Finally, there are the working moms who take two or three short breaks during the day to pump breast milk, which they bring home and put in the fridge or freezer.  You will need an electric pump which helps the process go much faster.
  8. Breast Milk and Formula Is An Option: Some women while working will have the baby on formula but will nurse when at home.  Keep in mind that your milk production will dip if you decide to do this.
  9. Eventually, It’s Over: Sometimes a baby loses interest; other times Mom burns out first.  Get someone else involved in feeding to ease the transition to bottle or cup.  If weaning results in a happy mom, that’s best for baby.
  10. We’re All Different. Do Your Best. Move On: Some women nurse for three weeks, other go for three months, others for three years.  Bottom line? Any amount is better than nothing, but if breastfeeding absolutely doesn’t work for you, so be it.  At the end of the day, we all find a way to keep our baby happy, healthy, and well fed.
